This notice explains how information is handled on the Searchin5 website, in its merchant search widgets and in Shortlist by Shopin5 in ChatGPT.

Shortlist receives the shopping query, selected merchant slugs, filters and product identifiers sent to its tools by ChatGPT or the shopping interface. We record search outcomes, tool errors, timing, products displayed and interactions such as product clicks, merchant entry and fullscreen expansion. The interface generates a random widget instance identifier. Our shopping analytics uses this widget identifier rather than a ChatGPT account or conversation identifier.
Entering a merchant opens its Searchin5 search widget. Selecting a product opens the merchant website, with campaign attribution parameters. Merchants and ChatGPT process information under their own policies. Shortlist does not collect card details or process payments through its shopping tools. Do not include sensitive personal information in a shopping query.
When you ask to hear from Searchin5, we collect the ecommerce store URL, work email address and phone number you provide. We may also receive basic technical information such as device type, browser, referring page and interactions with this website.
We use shopping queries, merchant selections, filters and product identifiers to retrieve catalogue results, display product details and open the store you choose. Search queries are processed by our search infrastructure and, where enabled, configured search or AI services to interpret your request. We use recorded search outcomes, errors, timings and interface interactions to diagnose failures, measure search performance and improve the shopping experience. Our tools receive the shopping information sent to them, not access to your entire ChatGPT conversation history.
We use submitted details to review your store, respond to your enquiry, provide information about Searchin5 and improve our product and sales experience. We do not use your details to install or modify anything on your store.
The landing page offers a choice about PostHog page analytics; enquiry form values are excluded from those events. Shortlist separately records search and interface events in server logs and sends them to PostHog when server analytics is enabled. That operational logging is not controlled by the landing page cookie choice. Search queries and filters can be included in Shortlist analytics.
Recipients include hosting and infrastructure providers, configured search and AI providers when those services are enabled, and PostHog when server analytics is enabled. Shopping queries and filters may be processed by search or AI providers; search and interaction records may be sent to PostHog. Business enquiry details are handled by the providers used to receive and respond to enquiries. Product links and merchant-store entry take you to separately operated experiences with their own policies. We do not sell personal information.
Shortlist server event logs have a 30-day retention window, with cleanup on service startup and once daily. Minimal result-membership records used to validate interaction analytics expire after 24 hours and are capped at 1,000 result sets. We use PostHog Cloud on its Free plan. PostHog documents a one-year event retention window for that plan, applied to event queries; this is not a promise that every stored copy is physically deleted after one year. Provider records are managed separately, and our 30-day server cleanup does not delete copies held by PostHog. You can contact In5 Labs about locating and deleting applicable records; deletion depends on identifying the records and the provider’s supported deletion tools. Enquiry information is kept as needed to respond to your request and meet applicable obligations. We use technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service is completely secure.

Include the approximate interaction date and, if available, the widget instance identifier so we can locate relevant records. Do not send payment details or passwords. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law.
Hosting, analytics and configured search or AI providers may process information in countries other than your own. We may update this notice as the service evolves and revise its effective date. OpenAI’s handling of your ChatGPT conversation is governed separately by OpenAI’s policies.
